December Dumping at Copper

Today was an epic day riding with Alex Cass and Alex Kondo.  We got up at the crack of dawn to see atleast a foot of fresh snow on our porch.  We knew it would be a great day.  We got to Copper right as the lifts were opening and took some of the best turns I have had in a long time.  Kondo and Cass come to Copper every year for the contest season and they have this mountain wired like the back of their hand.  Since I just moved here it was great to get some insider tips on the fresh steep lines around the mountain.  We spent the morning on the back side of Copper were there were no tracks and knee to nipple deep snow.  For early December this is a pretty great treat.  We did about 6 laps all over the place in seek of steep untracked runs.  Success! Almost every run we took we were the first to hit up.  What a great day and a really great way to start the early season with some pow turns.
